The oldest zoo in the country always has something new going on! Right in our backyard just outside Philadelphia, a great day trip for kids interested in animals.
Located right in West Chester, kids can sit in real helicopters and learn about the science of flight. A kids' play area offers hands-on activities for even the smallest fliers.
This premier science museum in downtown Philadelphia offers plenty of hands-on activities to keep the youngest scientists engaged.

Located in nearby Lancaster, Dutch Wonderland calls itself a Kingdom for Kids, with plenty of rides for any height – even the under 36" set.
